Learn how to make an alarm system by yourself one that will cost you as litlle as 5 $.

Here are the easy steps:

What you need: a 4 x 4 piece of card board, one clothespin , three regular size rubber bands, one big paper clip, one push pin thumbtack, one AA battery, one piece of thread or kite string 6 to 8 inches(15 to 20 cm), one spare piece of thin card board, an aluminium pie pan, one AA battery holder,3VCD mini buzzer.

The best part is you most likely have a lot of these items around your house and will only pay for the battery holder and the mini buzzer to make your own cheap burglar alarm system.
Let’s get started.

  1. Punch 4 holes in the 4 x 4 piece of card board around the battery holder .
  2. Push a rubber band trough the bottom of the whole and pull it trough the other hole.
  3. Secure it on the other side with a paper clip. Do this for both holes.
  4. Put your battery into the battery holder.
  5. Slide the rubber bands over the battery holder
  6. Put the clothespin on the cardboard you worked on and poke to holes on eachside of it.
  7. Push a rubber band on the bottom of one hole and pull it trough the other hole , secure it with a paper clip and slide in the clothes pin.You can also use super glue to keep these  items in place and it’s easier, just glue them to the card board.
  8. Poke 2 holes for the mini buzzer, unfold the big paper clip and push both ends of it trough the holes of the mini buzzer, bend the papaer clip on the back of the card board to secure the mini buzzer.
  9. Take your clothespin out put it on the aluminium pie pan and trace a pattern around the top half of it with a pen. Cut that part you just drawn out of  the aluminium pan into a boot shape , you’ll need 2 parts.
  10. Poke a hole into the tip of the aluminium part, and super glue it inside the clothespin.Slide the clothes pin back on the card board.
  11. Cut a small square from the thin piece of card board and poke a hole in it. Pull the thread trough the hole and tie a knot, tie a knot around the thumb tack too.
  12. Insert the black wire from the AA battery and the black wire from the mini buzzer holder trough the aluminium boot hole.
  13. Place the piece of thin cardboard trough the clothespin, and tie the 2 red wires together or solder them.
  14. Your cheap burglar alarm is complete.

Put some duct tape on the back of it to make it stick to the wall and test it.
Glue it on your door then take the thumb tack and stick it in the wall near your door. Now open the door. The mini buzzer goes on !  It works.

Of course this particular cheap burglar alarm only works when you’re actually inside the house and if the crook uses the door to enter so it’s best to go for the normal alarm systems to ensure bigger protection.
